Our Mission

Live-Your-Dream.png

Soroptimist Live your Dream annually awards about $2.5 million in education grants to about 1,500 women who have overcome enormous personal obstacles including poverty, sex trafficking and domestic violence.

Recipients may use the cash grants to offset any costs associated with their efforts to attain additional education or training.

Award recipients go on to enjoy improved employment prospects, greater earning potential, higher self-esteem, and serve as positive role models for their children.

Receiving the LYD award made me feel honored. It motivated me more to pursue my career. Single mothers are capable of anything; they can reach their dreams. It might be more complicated with children, but it's for a better future. Thank you for selecting me I am forever grateful."
